Hey New Yorkers!!! We’re finally back!!! And I’m so excited to share our first 2023 POST!!!

Let me introduce the new neighborhood bistro in Greenpoint  Cool World

Helmed by executive chef Quang Nguyen (previously of Wildair and Cosme),  Cool World offers a menu inspired by iconic 90’s brasserie dishes. Nestled on the edge of McCarren Park, the restaurant boasts a dining room designed by Green River Project LLC with one-of-a-kind artwork and custom lighting fixtures, in addition to heated outdoor seating, and window seating overlooking the bustling corner where Greenpoint meets Williamsburg.

While Chef Quang’s menu nods to iconic 90’s brasserie dishes, he also pulls in inspiration from nostalgic dishes from his childhood in Louisiana and Texas, his Vietnamese heritage, and his experience working in award-winning kitchens throughout New York City. Select dinner dishes include:

  • Pretzeled Parker House Rolls, housemade fresh daily and served with butter
  • Seafood Platter with oysters, shrimp cocktail, fluke and hiramasa
  • Wedge Salad with black garlic ranch, dill, smoked shiitakes and savory granola
  • Moules Frites and nduja and miso
  • Steak Frites with umeboshi bordelaise and charred cippolinis
  • Fried Chicken Sando on a pretzel bun with crystal hot sauce, charred scallion mayo, dill pickles and fries

Cocktails include the Ketel One Martini, dry and served up tableside with blue cheese stuffed olives; Fall Manhattan with sazerac rye, spiced apple and cocchi torino vermouth; and Spiced Mezcal Negroni with mezcal, faccia bruto aperitivo, earl grey cocchi rosa and allspice; among others. 

About Cool World:
From partners Noah Bernamoff, Julian Brizzi and Rachel Bailin (collectively behind popular restaurants and bars like Grand Army Bar, Black Seed Bagels, Celestine, Pebble Bar and others), Cool World is open for dinner, weekend brunch, daily happy hour ($24 / dozen oysters, $2 off cocktails, and rotating limited-edition dishes) and late night drinks. The team is joined by Bar Director Pepper Stashek (previously of Attaboy and Raines Law Room) and Wine Director Jacob Nass (previously of Wildair and Altro Paradiso), who oversee the beverage program which focuses on classic cocktails done well, and wine from sustainable, small producers around the world.

Definitely we had an amazing experience, Cool World have a Greenpoint vibe that you need for date or hangout with a group of friends. The staff are so nice, I really recommended this place!!!
