Last night, I had the incredible opportunity to attend the premiere of the Minecraft Movie at B&B Theatres Mainstreet KC at the Power & Light District, and let me tell you—this was more than just a movie screening; it was a full-fledged immersive experience.
Arriving at the Venue

The story follows four misfits—Garrett “The Garbage Man” Garrison (played by Jason Momoa), Henry (Hansen), Natalie (Myers), and Dawn (Brooks)—who are suddenly transported through a mysterious portal into the Overworld. From struggling with everyday life to facing Piglins, Zombies, and the challenges of crafting, they embark on an epic quest alongside the legendary Steve (played by Jack Black).
This movie is packed with action, humor, and a heartfelt message about creativity and teamwork. Whether you’re a longtime Minecraft player or just someone who loves a good adventure film, there’s something in this movie for everyone.
The Theater Experience
B&B Theatres Mainstreet KC delivered big-time with their comfortable reclining seats, immersive sound, and stunning visuals that made the pixelated world of Minecraft come to life. Their concessions didn’t disappoint either—I grabbed a tub of buttery popcorn and a classic Dr. Pepper to fuel up for the adventure.
