Back to B&B Theatres – and Straight Into the World of Dinosaurs with ScreenX

There’s just something about being back at the movies that feels nostalgic and exciting — especially when it’s for a film that brings the dinosaurs roaring back to life. I went to see Jurassic World: Rebirth at B&B Theatres in Overland Park, and let me tell you… I didn’t just watch the movie. I lived it. Thanks to ScreenX, the entire theatre turned into a prehistoric jungle.

Jurassic World: Rebirth picks up after the collapse of the sanctuary island, where dinosaurs and humans are still struggling to coexist — but this time, the story takes a darker, more grounded turn. A global biotech company promises to restore balance by relocating dinosaurs to a new secure location, but as you can guess… things don’t go as planned. (Do they ever?)

The plot follows a new generation of scientists, dino activists, and a few familiar faces who uncover a dangerous experiment that threatens both species. There’s suspense, action, and those classic “is something about to jump out at me?” moments that we all secretly love.

I’ve been to B&B Theatres many times, but this was my first time watching a film in ScreenX, and I was blown away. Picture this: not just a screen in front of you, but scenes expanding onto the side walls, wrapping you in 270 degrees of cinematic action. When a dinosaur ran through the jungle, I actually felt like it was about to run past me. I caught myself turning my head more than once, fully pulled into the world on screen. It’s immersive, it’s bold, and honestly, it made every chase scene and jungle escape feel 10x more intense.
Of course, no movie night is complete without popcorn, soda, and yes – pizza. (Pro tip: the pepperoni slice at B&B hits different when you’re surrounded by dinosaurs.)
