This was my very first time staying in a casino hotel, and honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction. Between the energy of the casino floor and the elegance of Gordon Ramsay Steak, the night felt like something straight out of Vegas — but right here in Kansas City.
I decided to make it a family night out and brought my sister, my brother-in-law, and their partners along for the fun. From the moment we checked in, Harrah’s had that mix of excitement and class that makes you instantly feel like you’re on vacation — even if you’re just a few miles from home.

Walking into Gordon Ramsay Steak felt like stepping into one of those sleek London dining rooms — modern, moody, and full of style. The service was flawless from the start — warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely excited to walk us through the menu.
Before we even ordered, our server brought out a beautiful tray showcasing each cut of steak. You could actually see the marbling and color of the meat as they explained the differences between the cuts — such a unique touch that made the whole process interactive and fun.
I ordered the filet mignon, cooked perfectly medium rare. It was melt-in-your-mouth tender with that signature Gordon Ramsay sear — crispy on the outside, buttery soft inside. My brother-in-law went with the ribeye, and let me tell you, it was perfection. Rich, juicy, and packed with flavor.

One of my favorite parts of the night was how the staff helped us pair sides and sauces to complement each cut of steak. It felt like a personalized dining experience. And the wine menu — wow. Easily one of the best I’ve seen in Kansas City. They offer a beautiful selection from California to France, and the team knows exactly what to recommend. We went with a bold Cabernet Sauvignon that paired like a dream with our steaks.
